Sveta Trojica je razgleden vrh, ki je visok kar 1.106m Leži vzhodno od Pivke, če pa smo pozorni, lahko cerkvico na golem vrhu opazimo že od daleč. Že v 17. stoletju naj bi stala tam, vendar je kasneje propadla. Pred kratkim so jo ponovno pozidali in lahko nudi tudi zavetje pred vetrom, okrog pa so razporejene klopi. Tu naokrog naj bi se po legendi potikal tudi Martin Krpan.
Vzpon na vrh je ob lepem vremenu poplačan s čudovitim razgledom na Postojnsko kotlino in po širnem Pivškem podolju – vse tja do morja in na okoliške vrhove: Vremščico, Nanos, na slemena Javornikov, Snežnik, Učko, Julijce in Dolomite. Zares čaroben gorski svet, ki navduši. Z vrha se nam odpre razgled na Palško in Petelinjsko jezero. Občina Pivka je namreč znana kot področje z največ jezeri, kar 17 jih imajo. Naj pa vam povemo, da je velika možnost, da jih večino ne boste videli. Zakaj? Zato, ker so presihajoča. Več informacij lahko dobite ob obisku Ekomuzeja.
Z avtoceste Ljubljana - Koper se usmerimo na izvoz Postojna. Cesti sledimo do Pivke in se malo za Petrolom usmerimo levo za vas Trnje. Tam pri križišču v bližini vojaškega ombočja zavijemo še enkrat levo. Kmalu smo na makadamski poti, ki ji sledimo do parkirišča ob cesti, kjer opazimo oznake za Sveto Trojico. Od tu pa do vrha boste potrebovali nekje 45 do 60 minut.
Interesting Facts
The Seasonal Lakes of Pivka Ecomuseum presents the story about the water in the karst world of Upper Pivka River. The special geological structure of the area together with irregular precipitation causes great oscillation in karst underwater surface. After heavy rains, the water rises and 17 intermittent lakes emerge in the basin. In order to learn how the lakes are formed, one must spin a special mill wheel. Presentations of individual lakes also include the presentation of the people who live in the region where water runs in abundance or not at all. Models of the most important habitats – humid and dry grasslands, scrubs, forests and caves – complement the presentations of the exceptionally diverse plant and animal world in the Pivka Valley.

Let us mention that the food here is downright superb, as evidenced by the busyness at lunchtime! However, it paid off to wait a bit for a free table, as we loved their black-olive pizza with bacon and the delicious Karst pasta. It is finger-licking good!
The guesthouse is a proper museum! The walls are adorned with antique aircraft items and sports equipment, which make the bar unique.
There is actually a children’s plane at the front and our kids were hooked! They refused to go home and wanted to play for 10 minutes more, then it was another 10 minutes more and another and another…. :).
Looking at Postojna Airport and the planes taking off while sipping on some coffee at the Avio Pub patio has a special charm! I am sure all the parents agree with me.

Venture into the secret karst underground. Take a walk and find out how slowly time flows in caves, and how people too often live too fast, instead of breathing in life and nature, which is offered to us in such beautiful shades, especially here in the Pivka region.
For those who have never visited the cave with a flashlight and a helmet on their head, this will be a very special experience.
