Route Description
Braslovče Lake was created after the stream Trebnik had been dammed to create a water body for tourist activities, social events and fishing. Its surface is about 4.5 hectares big. In the past, many summer and winter events took place on and by the lake. Our family took a walk around with a baby stroller, which we had to lift over some roots a few times. We recommend that you carry your baby in a baby carrier.
Braslovče Lake activities:
- Walks
- Herb and Flower picking (for a pocket herbarium) on the forest educational trail
- Picnics in the nature
- Fishing
Interesting Facts
You can buy a pocket herbarium (suitable for the older kids of course) in the hut next to the parking lot. What a great idea! On the way around the lake, the children look for the plants listed in the booklet and compile the herbarium themselves. This will keep them occupied for quite a while!

Nearby Restaurants
This restaurant is famous for its deliciously prepared fish dishes. We had a well-deserved lunch and drank fresh coffee on the lake view terrace, observing the surroundings while basking in the sun.
