Mini ZOO Land in the town of Slovenske Konjice

Route Description

Were you by any chance walking around the Žiče Charterhouse, tasting the wines at the Zlati Grič Wine Cellar, or even hiking up the Rogla Ski Center? Make a stop by the Mini ZOO Land, which is located in the town of Slovenske Konjice. Meeting more than 100 animals of over 30 different species in one place will definitely strike a chord with your kids.

This adventure world has a trail leading from one theme park to another. The animals live harmoniously in a cowboy village, Australia, a lost island with a pirate ship, the jungle and at a typical farm. The youngest can have fun at the playground, equipped with a trampoline, sand box and a sandy beach (only in summer). All children can transform into cartoon heroes conquering vast seas on a huge pirate ship. Meanwhile, the parents can enjoy themselves on their loungers, while the more adventurous types can venture into the Ghost Cave. And that’s not all!

They also have a zip line that has been proven to withstand even the weight of parents :). The animals are on display all year. In winter, you can get hot drinks from the vending machine. In summer, you can get ice cream, snacks and cold soft drinks (also from the vending machine). The Mini ZOO land is definitely a place for both parents and children!

The trail is easy enough for walking kids of all ages, as well as parents with baby strollers or for toddlers on dandy horses. Riding a pony is possible from March to October on Saturdays and Sundays in fine weather. Take your time (2 hours minimum) when visiting this ZOO.

During the summer and for major holidays, they organize various events and activities for children. Every purchase you make in their online store contributes to the food and animal care. At the entrance, you can buy a bag of treats for goats, rabbits, bears and parrots.

In order to get to the ZOO, turn off the highway at the Slovenske Konjice exit. At the OMV Tepanje petrol station roundabout, take the second exit. At the next roundabout by the Hofer (Aldi) supermarket, turn right before the police station. Drive past the Mernik Car Wash (Avtopralnica Mernik) and after 200 meters (0.21 miles) you arrive at your destination.

You can just type in the address Ob potoku 4 into your navigation. However, be careful to add in the town of Slovenske Konjice, as this particular address can also be found in the village of LočeJ. Leave your car at the ZOO marked parking lot.
