Nanos je 1313m visok hrib, ki ločuje celinski del Slovenije od Primorja.Je 12 km dolga in do 6 km široka kraška planota s strmo odrezanim robom, imenovanim Pleša. Poleg Snežnika je najbolj značilna gora na Notranjskem. Iz Nanosa se razteza čudovit pogled v smeri slovenskega dela Alp ter v smeri Snežnika in Primorja. Planota je kot pohodniška točka dostopna tudi za družine z majhnimi otroki.

Access to the spring is not clearly marked, so be careful to not get lost.
